ELVIE TRAINER
Elvie is a British Femtech brand that uses intelligent technology to develop products that address some of the many needs in a woman’s body. One of those products is the Elvie Trainer: a pelvic floor trainer, linked to an app. 1 in 3 women suffer from pelvic floor problems at one time or another. However, this discomfort is often dealt with in silence. That’s why Elvie wants to spread more and better knowledge about what the pelvic floor is, as well as making pelvic floor problems a subject of discussion.
As this topic required interaction, discussion and engagement, we focused on hands-on influencer collaborations for Elvie, no media. We sought and found 10 strong women with a large social reach who were up to describing and highlighting pelvic floor issues and how to tackle it on their IG, via a regular post and some stories mentioning @elvie and #elvietrainer. Whether or not with a personal anecdote or just very factual – influencers could be as creative or pragmatic as they wanted. In exchange, we offered influencers an Elvie Trainer and clear advice.
Social relevance
One of the profiles we immediately thought of was Sandrine André, a Flemish actress known from series such as Aspe, Witse, Sara, Wittekerke, Familie and many more. We got in touch and although the manager indicated that it was a delicate subject, Sandrine was totally up for a try-out of the Trainer. We immediately sent her one, as well as Het Bekkenbodemboek, written by Hedwig Neels as additional background information to underline the importance of the pelvic floor muscles.
After six weeks, the Elvie Trainer promises to deliver the first noticeable results – and that was indeed the case for Sandrine. Satisfied with the device, she totally saw fit to collaborate and shared content around the topic and the Elvie Trainer itself. Even more, Sandrine got a tips column in the extremely popular magazine Story and included the Elvie Trainer as a must-have gadget tip. The positive reactions exploded. Immediately after the online buzz Sandrine was interviewed by Raf& Rani on Joe fm, which grabbed the attention of numerous other news outlets. So without putting out any press release… We got a lot of media attention. Proving the social relevance of our campaign.
