Sound of Metal

Caviar is an award-winning entertainment company with offices in Los Angeles and throughout Europe. They are absolute pros at entertaining audiences, wherever they are. Caviar’s growing circle of creators are experts in branded content, film, digital and post-production.

Walkie Talkie handles Caviar’s press relations since 2015, raising awareness to its efforts in the film, music video and advertising industry. But the story of the impressive award-winning movie Sound of Metal was a unique one. The sixth American production of Caviar by director Darius Marder, received no less than six Oscar nominations (Original screenplay, Actor in a supporting role, Sound, Film editing, Actor in a leading role and Best Picture). That last nomination was for CEO of Caviar and producer of the film, Bert Hamelinck, which made him the first Belgian to ever receive this honor. On Sunday April 25^th, 2021, Caviar was deservedly rewarded with two Oscars: one for Sound and one for Film Editing.

Needless to say this impressive performance didn’t slip the media’s attention. Walkie Talkie handled all press requests and set up diverse interviews with CEO Bert Hamelinck. This resulted in great national media coverage, from headlining the 7PM news on VTM, a TV news item on La Une and several radio interviews (MNM, Studio Brussel, Radio 1 & 2, La Première, Vivacité, …) to multiple print and online articles from De Tijd, De Standaard, Het Laatste Nieuws, 7sur7, Focus Knack, Pub, Le Soir, … This was clearly an achievement our tiny country was very proud of and rightfully so.
